Children in Uganda often find themselves living on the streets. Many leave their homes because of economic distress. Their families encourage them to go find "work" including begging, prostitution or selling scrap metal. They are under the impression that they will have more opportunities on the street than at home. Through education, these children can have hope for the future. Gift likes to learn about the government and wants to be a politician when he grows up. His education could help change the lives in his village. His story is just one of many children who struggle to make it by every day. Just a little help will go a long way for him and his family.
Thanks to our donors, Gift will be starting school next week. His future is just beginning.
